I have never been to Venice and I have never been to New Orleans, but this occasionally of year, both of those cities have an influence on fashion that has touched my family, even here in Gloucester County.

I dusted off a full-length bridesmaid’s outfit from years gone by and my daughters wore their Christmas dresses. Getting adroit together was one of the best parts of the evening!

We arrived at Botto’s, prone for Carnival. As we learned in preparing for the night, Carnival is a long-continued tradition in Venice, with documentation of masks being worn in the city dating back to 1268.
