I requisite to get some opinions on this matter. I have a very nice solid black double-breasted suit and was tinkering with the scheme of wearing it with a tuxedo shirt, bowtie, cummerbund, etc., instead of having to slash a tuxedo.

Of line it's alright! I mean, it's your wedding anyway, so really whatever you want to creep by is perfectly acceptable (as long as the bride-to-be agrees).
